Understanding Albinism

This project is a partnership between PE-Kenya and the Open Society Initiative for East Africa aimed at heightening understanding albinism among persons with albinism, their care givers and service providers in Nairobi & Nyeri counties and their Environs.

It involves focus group discussions for need analysis among the albinism community, followed by training forums in the same areas with tailored content that bridges and fills the knowledge gaps identified in the need analysis forums.

It also includes heightened sensitization of the  International Albinism Awareness Day – IAAD through massive awareness, publicity and distribution of awareness material to the public.
